Using Your Blog To Promote Affiliate Marketing Programs: Caitlyn Turns 5!!!
A friend of mine’s daughter, Caitlyn, turned 5 years old today …and had a good birthday.
I know that a lot of other children also celebrated their birthday today, but Caitlyn’s birthday marked the end of a long year filled with struggle …and the beginning of a new year full of promises.
…and I wanted to share her story with you.
Caitlyn’s parents have been through some rough times the past several years …including her mom being unemployed for almost 3 years …and her dad only being able to find part-time work after he was downsized (what an interesting way for a company to say, “we’re letting you go”).
Because of this, Caitlyn and her family were actually homeless for a few months at the end of 2010. It was a very difficult time for them …to say the least.
You know, I can barely imagine being homeless …even if it was only just me that I had to worry about …but I can’t imagine being homeless with my wife and 3-year-old daughter.
I know that it affected my friend deeply – frustrated and feeling like a failure for not being able to provide for the family – but I’ve always believed that things happen for a reason …and, most of the time, it’s for a good reason.
Well, after a year of struggle in 2011, things started to get better for them this past spring when Caitlyn’s dad was able to find full-time work.
The job pays him less than what he was used to making …but it provides good medical benefits, which is always an important thing when you have children.
Caitlyn’s mom also found work (also less than what she was used to making) and, with the two incomes, they were able to move into their own place once again and begin rebuilding their lives.
Their life took another upward turn a few months ago when they made the decision to become involved with an affiliate marketing program and started making extra money working from home during the nights and weekends.
Then, about a month ago, I introduced them to the Empower Network and showed them how they could use the Empower Network blogging system to promote their work at home business opportunity.
The results?
With their previous promotions they were doing “okay” with the opportunity …but, since using their Empower Network blog posts to send traffic to their affiliate marketing program landing page, their income has been growing steadily.
They’re not “rich” (financially) yet. They haven’t reached their income goals …but Caitlyn doesn’t know that – all she knows is she is going to have a great Christmas in her own home
Have you ever had the opportunity to listen to a 5-year-old talk about her home …not her house …but her home?
It gives you a warm fuzzy feeling inside.
Caitlyn is too young to remember the rough times (plus my friends did a good job of “hiding it” from her by always giving her the best home life possible …with whatever they had) and, now, will grow up not having to experience what mom and dad went through.
She’s happy …she’s 5 …and she’s looking forward to Christmas.
That’s how a child’s life should be …and how your life should be too!
Life is not meant to be lived with financial struggles …right?
Want to see how Caitlyn and her parents got their own “Wonderful Life” back?
Here’s the video that started it all >>>
…and here’s how you can promote your affiliate marketing programs with your Empower Network blogging system (the example shown is the affiliate marketing program that Caitlyn’s parents are using) >>>
Remember …
Don’t give up!
Things will get better.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by …and enjoy the Holidays!!
Doug
