Develop Your Millionaire Mind – Sonia Ricotti’s Steps To Success Part 2

Welcome back to your training on how to use the Law of Attraction to develop your millionaire mind and live the life of your dreams. 

In our last post, we learned that 

We create our lives by feeling, not by thought. 

In order to live a great life and manifest your heart’s desires of abundance, good health, financial freedom, and happiness, you need to always be in a positive state of mind …constantly projecting positive energy.

This positive energy will attract the positive situations, positive people, and positive experiences into your life that will make your dreams come true.

To help you begin consciously and deliberately emitting positive energy, I am sharing the eleven steps to success suggested by Sonia Ricotti in her book, “The Law of Attraction, Plain and Simple:  Create the Extraordinary Life That You Deserve”.

In her book, Sonia shows you the secrets to:

   • finding inner peace and happiness

   • attracting and manifesting your dream life

   • living the life you were born to live

In Friday’s post, we looked at the first 3 steps to success:

  – Decide What You Want

  – Choose Your Thoughts And Feelings

  – Keep The End In Mind

Today, we’re going to look at the next three …starting with

** Step To Success #4:  Remove Meaning

Do you know that we create the meaning of everything we experience in life?

We decide whether an experience is positive, negative, or neutral.

What that means is no matter what anyone says to you, no matter what’s happening in your life, you choose to interpret it in a certain way.

You choose how you interpret your experiences, and your interpretations are usually based on past experiences, beliefs, or upbringing.

Let’s take a look at an example of how two people can interpret the same situation in two totally different ways.

Imagine that there are two women, Diane and Kelly.  They both work for the TCS Company …in the same department …doing the same job …and, after 10 years of faithful service, their department is eliminated and they both get laid off.

What happens next?

Diane calls her husband on the phone and says, “Oh my God, I can’t believe this is happening …(crying) …I can’t believe it.  They’ve just fired me.  After 10 years of working for this company, this is how they treat me?  What are we going to do now?  Oh my God we’re not going to find another job …we’re not going to be able to pay the mortgage.  Oh my God I can’t believe it!  This can’t be happening!”

Kelly, meanwhile, calls her husband all calm saying, “Wow, honey, you won’t believe what happened today.  Are you sitting down?  I got laid off, can you believe it?  I don’t know …something about budget cuts.  You know how things are, and the economy is so bad, but you know what?  This actually gives me the opportunity to start looking for a job I really like, and probably actually get a job that pays more than what I’m getting paid now.  Anyway, it is what it is, what can you do?  I mean, I can’t change it.  I’ll tell you what …I’ll meet you at home and we’ll talk about it further and figure out what we’ll do.  I’ll see you soon honey, bye.”

Even though they found themselves in the same situation, they each had their own personal interpretation of what had happened.

Kelly is calm and just stating the facts, while Diane has “personalized” the layoff saying “I can’t believe it …they just fired me …they never cared about me …they didn’t appreciate me.”

You have a choice to interpret your situation any way you want …to add your own meaning it. Since you have that choice, you might as well make it a positive interpretation.

You have the power to choose how you will interpret an experience.

Start by separating the facts from the fiction (your interpretation).  Once you become conscious of the actual facts, you can choose your own positive meaning to attach to the event.

These conscious positive choices will keep you in a positive state of mind …no matter what the circumstances.

Success Tip:  Realize that your current interpretation is something that you made up  –  it’s just a creation of your mind.  Therefore, you have the power to choose what feelings you attach to each situation, event, and experience.  Choose to give the experience a positive meaning. 

 

** Step To Success #5:  Letting Go

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.”  –  Helen Keller

Accept your life exactly the way it is now and let go of the way you think it should be.

Let go of trying to control everything and simply let it “be”.

Whenever you are feeling uncomfortable, unhappy, or any other negative emotion, it means that you are resisting something in your life.

Resistance causes persistence.  It causes you to emit negative energy, resulting in more of the same negative situations coming into your life.

Success Tip:  Learn to release resistance; let it go and accept the fact that, right now, “things are the way they are” …but they’ll be different tomorrow.

 

** Step To Success #6:  Forgive

This is probably the hardest one of all.

Sometimes it’s hard to forgive but you have to learn how …because forgiveness is the key to creating and emitting positive energy.

“Forgiveness is freeing up and putting to better use the energy once consumed by holding grudges, harboring resentments, and nursing unhealed wounds. It is rediscovering the strengths we always had and relocating our limitless capacity to understand and accept other people and ourselves”  –  Sidney and Suzanne Simon

We have all experienced negative events in our lives and many of us are holding grudges against the individuals who caused the events.

By continuing to hold grudges and resentment, we are emitting self-defeating negative energy into the universe.

It’s like dragging an anchor around with you all the time.

In order to get rid of that anchor and free yourself from the negative energy, you must let go of your negative feelings by forgiving.

You need to forgive and allow yourself to let go of the anger, resentment, and negative emotions you hold towards the situation or individual.

Forgiving ourselves is just as important.  The past is who we were once, not who we are now.

Success Tip:  Recognize that every negative experience holds a lesson to be learned. Identify the lesson, be thankful for the experience, and forgive whoever caused it.
