Affiliate Marketing Blog: Using Your Affiliate Marketing Blog To Its Fullest – Blogging Tips To Get SEO Backlinks For Your Affiliate Marketing Blog.

May 8, 2013 at 8:14 AM

Good morning.

Today, I would like to share a couple of blogging tips with you.

One of my Empower Network downline members, TD in Orlando, wrote in to ask me for advice on how to get backlinks to his affiliate marketing blog.

Specifically, he wanted to know if there was a way to use different affiliate marketing blogs to promote a particular program, such as the Empower Network.

Rather than reply with an email, I wrote this post as his answer …and, then, sent him the url to it.  (one of the affiliate marketing tips I learned from the Costa Rica Mastermind Training program)

Okay …back to TD’s question.

He recently signed up a new member who already has a well-established blog of their own …helping work at home moms make money online.

To get her new business started, TD’s team member wrote several posts on how Empower Network can help moms make extra money at home.

She was ready to publish the posts on her Empower Network blog …

and asked him if there was a way she could use her existing blog to create more traffic to her new affiliate marketing blog.

The answer is YES.

There are many blogging tips that will help you get backlinks.

What Are Backlinks?

Backlinks …also known as incoming links, inbound links, inlinks, and inward links …are incoming links to a website or web page.

In basic link terminology, a backlink is any link received by a web page, website, or directory from another web page, website, or directory.

Prior to the emergence of search engines, inbound links were originally important as a primary means of web navigation.

Today, their significance lies in search engine optimization …or SEO.

Search engines often use the number of backlinks that a website has as one of the most important factors for determining that website’s search engine ranking, popularity, and importance.

Outside of SEO, the backlinks of a webpage may be of significant personal, cultural or semantic interest …as they indicate who is paying attention to that page.

I like to get backlinks through a technique of “cross linking” or “cross promoting” my two sites.

Here’s a video from Tracey Walker …where she shows how to get seo backlinks by linking two blogs together:

For those that may be worried about Google penalizing you for “duplicate content”, you can expand upon this technique as follows:

1. Write 2 posts that are related to each other.

2. Publish both posts on both blogs …with the posts on each blog linking to the related posts on the second blog.

Blog 1 post 1    links to    Blog 2 post 2

Blog 1 post 2    links to    Blog 2 post 1

Blog 2 post 1    links to    Blog 1 post 2

Blog 2 post 2    links to    Blog 1 post 1

In this way, you can hyperlink back and forth …linking relevant keywords in one post to relevant posts on the other blog.

You should also have some internal links, where you link the post to other relevant posts within the same blog.

This is the technique that I use to promote my two main affiliate marketing programs, the Empower Network and 7Minute Workout.

Here’s an example of this strategy in action.   >>>

In this example, you may notice that I linked my new post to a related post that I wrote 5 months ago …which, in my opinion, not only enables me to get backlinks to today’s post but also gives “new life” to the December post.

Google and the other search engines will notice the new backlink to the post, “The Empower Network Blogging System: Caitlyn Turns 5!!!”,  and factor it in to their formulas …inching the post closer to the 1st page.

Every time you put blogging tips like these in action and get seo backlinks, you are improving the ranking of your post.

Improved ranking means more traffic to your affiliate marketing blog.

More traffic means more visitors seeing your affiliate marketing programs and network marketing opportunities.

More visitors results in more sales of your affiliate marketing product and sign ups into your affiliate marketing program.

That’s your goal …right?

Well, here’s an easy way to do it.

Put it in action …and get backlinks today!

To your blogging success,

Doug
